Update on Ash

Well there is good news and slightly bad news...

The bad news is that when Ash's eye was swolen shut for two days, it got really weak, so he has a lazy eye now and has lost some of his sight. The good thing is that we have caught it early so we can fix this without surgery and everything. The lazy eye really is not bad at all, you would never noticed it unless your were with him an entire day. I just pray we can keep the infection away, he is now prone to staf infections, which means he can't get stung by a bee or bitten by a mosquito.

The really good news is that the cyst is shrinking on its own, so we don't need to surgically remove it. I am so thankful for this, because Ashton has really had some bad things go on at the doctors office and he hates the hospital, he cries when we pull in the parking lot. Jaxon loves the doctors, but has only ever gone when he goes for his well child checks. CRAZY!!!

Thanks everyone for all your support!!!

That is so great that he will not need surgery, that must be such a relief. You poor thing, what a traumatic thing to go through. I will keep my fingers crossed that the poor boy doesn't get an infection.

Oh that is very good news. I hate when things just aren't quite right with our kids. It is one thing to deal with it yourself, but to have to watch your child suffer is no fun. Lets hope all continues to go well, and those bees and mosquitos need to stay AWAY!!

That is so awesome, anything to avoid surgery! I hope that all goes well with him getting strength in that eye.
