Good-bye Hoopty

Yesterday Bob was in a car accident. A girl t-boned him and he did a 360. It was scary for me, because when I called Bob he sounded like he had just ran a marathon. I am counting my blessings more, because it could've been worse and if any of my kids were in the car, they more than likely would've been hurt.

This is how Bob landed after doing his 360.

Bob and I got the "hoopty" Ford Escort when things were rough, it was $500.00 and runs perfectly, the interior looks brand new and the outside was in good shape. It got us back and forth to work for a year and now its going to car heaven. I am sad mostly for Bob because he loved the car, but also because noe we have to find a car and have a car payment. Bob and I have worked so hard to get all of our bills paid off so we can live life and BAM!! But we are at a point in life where we feel that its okay to have a car payment. My fear is that something may happen and thats whay I am afraid of. So I guess its car shopping for us and WELCOME to the NEW YEAR!!!

Eric and Jenny said...: Oh no I am so glad he wasn't hurt, nothing shakes your life up more than a car accident. They happen so quickly and it is so hard not to think of the what if's....

I hear you on not wanting a car payment. Eric has been trying to talk me into getting a nicer car for like a year, he knows it's a taboo subject, because I oppose it so. You just never know what might be around the corner, I hate tying myself up like that. Good luck and try to remember you guys deserve a new car!; January 6, 2011 at 2:06 PM
Yvonne [Tried and Tasty] said...: Oh my, I'm so glad your husband is ok! Wow - I hate car accidents. Whenever I see one, I try to say a prayer immediately that all involved are ok. I hate reading the news or watching it on t.v. and hearing about all of the accidents out there.

I'm extremely nervous about getting in one myself, learning how to drive the stick shift - I'm so glad your kids weren't in there! I'm sorry you have to now have a car payment.

Leaning on Faith....

In July 2009 my Husband was diagnosed with Tetrology of Fallot, something that should've been taken care of as a child. But a miracle happened and he made it this long. He had open heart surgery on July 17th, 2009 and today, he is the healthiest he has ever been.

In September our little girl was diagnosed with Pulmonary Stenosis with a PDA and PFO. Right now she is being watched by Primary Childrens until things get worse or better. We are praying for the best.

On March 24th, 2010 we found out that our little girls heart healed on its own. We have found that miracles do happen and prayers do work. We feel blessed and happy, but couldn't have done it without all the wonderful people who prayed for us and cared.

Favorite thing to do: Play with her babies, Dora, follow her brothers around and play outside.

Lexi was born premmaturely, but you would never know. She is doing everything her age group does and more. She is truly a miracle and God blessed us with this little girl for a reason. She has brought so much joy and happiness to our lives. She loves both her brothers and follows them everywhere.
