Lexi words

Lexi is talking up a storm....

New words for her:

"Eyes". My favorite, I make her say it a hundred times a day!
"Purse"
"Pretty"
"Ash"
"Owy"
"Air" (hair)

Amazing! Doctors predicted she would be far behind and well she continues to prove them wrong! I have been worried about her speech, since she has had 20 ear infections this year and since tubes has had about 5. And her ears are always draining and she still can't pass a hearing test, but nope she is doing great!

Before and After

My friend Sunset is a pretty amazing and talented person. She loves editing things and designing things, so I asked her to edit some pictures for me and here are some of the results. I love them all! Thanks Sunset! By the way, she also took the pictures too.

My 1st grader

Jaxon is doing amazing in school. I so worried about this school year with the way things went last year. But I realized how much stress from last summer put on Jax when he started school this year. He loves his teacher, he loves school and he says first grade is the best ever. Why? Well here is why....

1. You get 3 recesses (yup, I remember those days)

2. He has choosing time. (They get to choose an activity for an hour a day, kind of neat, give them a little break from sitting in their desk)

3. He goes to school all day and doesn't have to worry about it brother picking on him or vise versa.

Overall, I am very impressed with his teacher, I emailed her a week ago and she responded right back saying that she was amazed with Jaxons fun personality and that he was doing really good. YAY! Makes me a happy Mom!

Family Pictures

Some of our family pictures...

The first one of the boys is my favorite, absolutely priceless and we didn't even pose them that way.

The BIG 50

Yesterday was my Dad's 50th Birthday! We celebrated big, thats what he wanted. We had shephards pie in the dutch oven, carrot cake as he requested and tons of laughing. We got him good with silly string. It was a blast!!! I don't think he'll forget it.

A little getaway

I think every couple should do this....

We dropped the kids off at Grandmas and Jax at school and left for Lava. We headed past Lava to go to Pocatello and eat at Jack in the Box (I know some people hate this place, but I love it!!!). We then did some shopping and headed to Lava, where we checked in at the Home Hotel and Motel. We got a pretty sweet room. After that we walked around and seen that people were tubing down the river, so we decided to go. We rented a double tube (I have no pics) and headed down. I was scared, I will admit, the last time I went down this river I was small and we almost drowned. Also, I didn't know the river so I was pretty freaked. We went up where the lady told us to go in, I had this bad feeling that it wasn't the right spot and told Bob that I wanted to go back down. Thank GOODNESS!!! Because I am not kidding you there was about a 6-7 ft waterfall (probably not big to some) and we would've never known. So we tubed the river and had a blast. We then went back to our hotel where we had a 2 person hot spring tub in our room and relaxed in it for a while. After we headed over to White Wolf Restaurant and had dinner (they play Bingo there). I started feeling weird, but thought maybe I was just exhausted since I don't really sleep all too much. By the time we got back to our hotel, I had a full blown migraine and well you can guess what happened the rest of the night. I cried myself to sleep and woke up at 4am. I feel horrible, because we had all these plans to go and listen to this live concert, play cards and just relax, well I more than relaxed. I have never felt that bad in my life. I can only think of two things that it was 1. Didn't drink enough water yesterday, because I normally drink like 6 bottles of water and I had none or 2. I was so exhausted that everything just caught up with me.

Also, it was so beautiful up there, all the leaves are changing colors and I was just in heaven.

Horrible picture of me, but I love the background!!

We won $6.00 on a scratch off, so we got a powerball for tonites lottery which is currenlty at 97 million. I have never bought lotto tickets, I think their a waste of money, but we were splurging.

Part of our tub, it was huge, I told Bob I want to take it home to my bathroom.

The river and a hot spring.

So pretty!

Overall we had a blast and I can't wait to go back!

Upcoming Holidays

Last year I dreaded the Holiday Season, I was hating everything about it. I was not prepared for it, I didn't want to face it period. I think it was because I had such a depressing summer full of chaos. But I tried to make the best of it.

So I have made a list of all I plan to do and I plan to have the best Holiday Season this far.

October

Last year we had a Halloween Party and everyone brought a soup, we had like 6 different soups and it was so fun!

We went to the corn maze last year, but didn't make it far, this year, we will concur it!

I have never been to Frightmares and really want to go.

Bob's amazing Pumpkin Cheesecake will be a big hit this year as it is EVERY year.

My Favorite thing about October, the pumpkin patch to pick our own pumpkin.

I am excited for October, my kids have no clue what they want to be, but I am sure it will be figured out real soon.

November

Last year I didn't make it out for Black Friday, truth is, Bob and I had NO MONEY at all!

One of my favorite things that I missed last year, I love the beautiful site and just the feeling of being there.

My all time favorite Holiday, I can't wait!

November is one of my favorite months, couldn't be because its my Birthday or because my favorite Holiday is that month...Nope, not at all!!!

December

This was by far the month that I dreaded last year, I kept tossing around how we would buy Christmas for our kids. But the crazy thing is that everything works out in mysterious ways, it just does.

I love doing this, we did it growing up and it will be something I hope my kids remember.

Started this tradition a couple of years ago and will keep it going.

Also visit Christmas Village every year, I love it just as much as Temple Square, its beautiful and full of spirit.

My all time FAVORITE movie ever. I think I watch this over and over and over and over and over and over. I never get sick of it.

I will have my Christmas shopping done by the 10th of December. I will not be out on Christmas Eve shopping, instead, I will be sleeping in and enjoying my family.

Last year, my Family received the most awesome gift ever, Christmas from 97.1 ZHT, it wasn't just small things either, it was the best thing ever and over $1000.00 in gifts. Thanks to my wonderful friend Sunset. So we have decided as a family that we will be providing Christmas for another family this year. I totally believe in "paying it forward" when you can. This took so much stress off of me, I have never seen my kids smile so much and I couldn't stop crying. I sometimes listen to the recording just to remember how blessed I am.

I love Christmas Dinner

This year I will be using shutterfly for my cards, they have the cutest and we are getting our pics done this weekend.

Yummy! Mine will surely not look like the picture, but hey, we try!!

Another one of my favorites, reading Christmas stories EVERY night. I have a few favorites.

We will be building a snowman in our front yard this year. All 5 of us!

So here is my list, I am sure there will be other things come up. I am truly excited this year. Bob and I are at a good place (knock on wood), we feel blessed to be where we are compared to a year ago. I have an amazing family and the most wonderful friends who have stood beside me and not let me give up. So I say....BRING ON THE HOLIDAY SEASON!!!!

Miss them being babies

Lexi a day old in the NICU, the first time I got to hold her, this pictures makes me cry!!!

Ashton a couple of weeks old

Jax a day old

I miss my babies being babies. I miss cuddling them all hours of the day, I miss the 2am wake up call for feedings and a diaper change, I miss the soft cry of a newborn baby, I miss the look on a babies face when they look at you, I miss the cooing, I miss the smell, I miss watching a baby sleep, I miss the tiny diapers and I miss it all.

Where does time go? One day I am having a baby and the next I have 3 and then grow up right before my eyes. I really really really miss it all. I am sad that I can't have babies, but feel so extremely blessed to have the 3 I do. I love them whole hearted and would do anything for them. I just wish I could freeze time.
