Oreo mess

I always try to do things to distract Lex for being a terror, because she is constantly on the go. So this day I had given her an oreo and well you can see how that turned out, she had to get back in the bath after already having a bath.

Friends for a lifetime

Do you ever find yourself wondering to back when you were little? Do you ever think about all the fun times you had? All the friends when you were younger that you thought would be friends for a lifetime. Today I was going through my pictures and looking at all the fun I had when I was a kid with NO WORRIES!!! I have had many friends in my life, ones that have stood beside me and ones that would do anything for me in the world. But for the sake of my blog and eventually turning this into a book, I want to talk about one of my friends that probably doesn't realize how much she means to me...Lindsey. We have known each other since I was 2 and she was 3. My Mom was up in a tree pregnant when her Mom came back and the rest is history. We lived in California together where we started kindergarten. She then moved to Utah and we weren't too far behind her. We lived on base together where our Mom's did daycare together and where we got in trouble together. We have great memories of living on base. She then moved off base with her family and we moved a street over. We would exchange baby dolls over the fence (we were weird and total girls) and babysit each others baby dolls. We would play barbies together, laugh together, have sleep overs, go camping together and everything you can imagine. We are truly more like sisters than anything. She moved right after 6th grade to Arizona, but we still kept in contact. After she graduated from High School her family moved to Hawaii and a couple years later Jase (her first Son) was born. I hadn't seen Lindsey for a long time, but her sister Deanne had moved here, so she started visiting. We could always pick up right where we left off. She moved here in 2005 and I love it. We may go weeks without seeing each other, but we both know that each of us is just phone call or text away. In 2008, when her Sons Father died, I struggled at finding the right words to say. It hurt me to watch my friend go through one of the hardest things in life. But I admired her strength for her son and for herself. She is stronger than she knows and got through the rough times. Even though somedays are still a struggle, she doesn't give up. She married an amazing Man in January who would do anything for her and in March had her second little boy Kasen. We aren't perfect and sometimes we have disagreements, but nothing can come between our friendship. She is truly my best friend and someone I can always count on for anything, so heres to 24 years, almost 25 of friendship. Thanks Lindsey!! I can't wait until were 70 and can talk about this to our grandchildren or maybe great grandchildren. Love ya!

Weekend Craziness

My boys went camping this weekend, so it was Bob, I and Lexi.

We had a crazy weekend and I forgot my camera to everything we went too. And I am still mad about it! But we had a FUN weekend and I love it! Friday, we went down to Salt Lake and went to dinner with some friends at Red Rock Brewing Company, then went over to an itilian restaurant and got Gelanto (I have never had this, but it was amazing!!!). We then went over to Gateway and walked around, they were doing the Chalk Art Festival and it was the neatest thing ever. We had the best time with Klint and Jennifer, its been over a year since we seen them (Because they live clear down in Cedar Hills) and we plan to hang out way more this year.

Saturday, I woke up late (Thanks Lexi!), went shopping with my Sis Miranda and then to lunch. Then came home and relaxed. That night I went to the Talent show at the Layton Ampitheater, we had a good time, except my Daughter was a B R A T T!!! I think we going to make it a tradition to go to the talent show, they had some amazing talents there, but my favorite group did NOT win (Baylee, your brother in-laws group should have won!!!).

Sunday was Fathers Day and I was tired and wanted to go swimming, but it wasn't Mothers Day. Bob wanted to go to the Zoo, so we picked up the kids, grabbed lunch in Centerville (because everyone knows that you have to hand over an arm and leg at the Zoo for food) and then headed to the Zoo. We have season passes, so we paid NOTHING! We had a blast! The tigers were very active and so fun to watch. We went to the bird show and road the train & carousel (Lexi hated it). I love family days like this.

It was a really good weekend and now I need a weekend to recover from my weekend.

Oh and Happy 1st day of Summer!!!

Happy Fathers Day 2010

***I will upload pics later.

I have two amazing guys in my life, one my Dad and the other my Husband. These two would do anything for me or my family. This year Fathers Day means a little more because last year we weren't sure Bob was going to be here and he is.

It was exactly one year ago yesterday that we found out Bob had a heart condition. Its scary to think that last time this year I was planning for what might happen if Bob didn't live and today, he is still here and healthy. I feel so blessed that we have made it through this past year and today we are stronger than ever. So I want to say Happy Fathers Day to Bob and my Dad, thanks for everything you do for me and my kids.

We are off to the zoo.

Birthday Celebration

My poor Ashton was sick his whole Birthday day. He was miserable and laid around all day. I knew something was wrong with him when he didn't want a snack I offered him. That morning I asked him what kind of cake he wanted, he said chocolate with Strawberries. Silly kid! So me not being the baker AT ALL, I called his Great Grandma to the RESCUE and that she did. She made him a cake just the way he wanted it. We had everyone over for dinner and cake later that day and Ashton ate NOTHING!!!

On Monday I took him for his well child check and for his 4 year old / Kindergarten shots (As he will start school next year....CRAZY!!!!). He is in the 97% for height and the 95% for weight. He is super tall and a healthy kid. He has been diagnosed with mild asthma and allergies which he has had forver, but other then that he is a healthy boy.

Once again...

So I once again stressed and lost sleep for no reason.....WE FINALLY got the results from Bob's test today, this morning. And I am happy to say that everything is fine! All Bob's passing out and chest pain must have been from working 80+ hours in one week. So the doctor advised him no more of that. I would love to say that we are free and clear, but Bob will have to go to a check up every 6 months forever probably. The good thing is that he will be watched closely, because anything can change in the blink of an eye. Bob will have a heart disease for the rest of his life and there is no changing that. But I have 110% faith in his cardiologist and surgeon, they are amazing people and truly saved my Husbands life.

So guess what were gonna do......CELEBRATE and take a family vacation!!!

Happy 4th Birthday Ashton

Ashton got a fire truck lego set and some squirt guns, he will also be getting some clothes, just haven't made it to the store to get them yet. I am a proscrasinator!!!

My little guy has turned 4, another year come and gone… Ashton and Jaxon are two different kids, I love it though, they each fill a special place in my heart in two different ways, but I love them just the same. Ashton is stubborn; it’s his way or no way. He has grown up too fast on me; I swear he was just this tiny baby and BAM!!!

Some things about my Ashton:

-He is a Mama’s boy big time (some make think this is bad, but I love it)
-He loves to eat
-He has an imagination that blows me away
-He has “shark” eyes (so he says)
-He is my picky eater in a weird way, he doesn’t like rice, eggs, some pasta, spaghetti, lasagna, any kind of mixed casserole and most of the time will only drink water.
-He hates shoes and this drives me crazy, if he wears shoes, its his cowboys and even with shorts (I swear he didn’t get this from me).
-His best friend is his brother
-He loves to destroy things…paper, boxes, anything that he isn’t suppose to have.
-He loves swimming, but won’t get his head wet.
-He loves to be outside either riding his bike, scooter, big wheel or playing in the dirt.
-He will talk to anyone; this is hard for me, because he will have a conversation with just random people.
-He loves snacks like crackers, anything gummy and candy (which is allowed very little).
-He hates Green Beans, broccerli, corn and any kind of vegi except carrots.
-He begs for things at the store and its weird things like flash lights or a real cell phone or a laptop or computer or some random movie that he thinks he will like.
-He is loud; he DOES NOT know how to talk quiet, but its Ashton, I wouldn’t expect it any different.
-He loves his Nanny (Great Grandma), he is really attached to her.
-He can spell his name
-He knows his whole name
-He can sing his ABC’s and count to about 20
-If he has to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, he thinks he has to ask me. It doesn't matter how many times I tell him he doesn't need to ask, he still does.
-If he gets in trouble he always says "Are you mad?", but with his cute voice. He hates when people are mad at him.
-He has a little guy, haven't figure out who he is, but he goes everywhere with him.

This little boy means the world to me, he just doesn’t know how much and I don’t think he ever will. He makes me smile, laugh and cry because he is growing right up. He feels this place in my heart that needed to be. Sometimes I stare at him wishing I had his personality, because he is so out going and has so much love for the world. I love you Ashton and Happy 4th Birthday!! Why does it seem like you should be turning 2….

Weird bumps

Jax started getting weird bumps in December of last year, I thought maybe he had the chicken pox, but only two ever appeared. Well then I thought they were warts. On Friday Jax said they were bugging him, I lifted up his arm and counted 16 bumps. So on Tuesday I called my sister for an appt since she works at Ogden Clinic. Went in and there was 56, so 40 had appeared since Friday unless I counted wrong. They aren't warts either or chicken pox, its called mellescum (not sure on spelling). Its some kind of virus that a kid can kid. Who knew? If its gonna happen to anyone, its gonna be my family of course. So Jax got beetle juice put on all of them, then covered with bandaids and then 3 hours later had to scrub with soap and water. This is what they looked like on Thursday, they turn black and then fall off. Poor guy!!!

Our Weekend

Today we went up to Willard, I haven't been up there in a long time. We had a blast! Lexi is definately a water baby, she has no fear though and that scares me. She sat by the shore for a good 30 minutes just playing, she was covered in sand and never gave up. The boys had fun with their squirt guns and buckets. We will definately be back up there this summer.

Saturday we hung out at home, did some stuff around the house and then let the kids run through the sprinklers that night. My kids are addicted to water!!!
