Spring Break Day 2

Or we could call it rain break or snow break, you decide.

Yuck, today is crappy! I woke up with a major kink in my neck, I am still trying to NOT die of pain.

But I wasn't about to let it ruin the day for my kiddos....

So we made a trip to Walmart while its not a zoo at 11 instead of Saturday at 2 when its got 5 million people there. We got treats, a movie and some fun things. Ash chose two snakes, really out of all the things in the store...snakes. He is a boy! Jax chose a color book and Lexi of course wanted every baby, but decided on one to add to her 50 she already has.
Jax busy at work.

Ashton busy watching our movie.

Lexi decided the hallway was where she was going to take a nap. Quite hilarious actually.

Lex with her baby, I decided next time, no baby with a hat, because she takes it off as fast as I put it on.

And the movie of choice, I have to say it was a GREAT movie, I loved it and will watch it again.

But if this yuckiness would just go away, we could spend our time outside....O'well, another day!

Tomorrow, I am not quite sure whats in store, maybe a train ride, maybe just grocery shopping, maybe we'll think of something fun tonite...STAY TUNED!!

Spring Break Day 1

Well, day 3 for Jax...

I took off Wednesday Thursday and Friday to play with the kids. Its not to often that I am off and all 3 kids are out of school. Last year I took off the whole week and well it rained the WHOLE week.

So day 1 of our spring break together was spent at Classic Fun Center. We had fun. Lexi loved it and so did the boys...

And tomorrow I am hoping for a REALLY good thunderstorm, I know how dare I say that, but the forcast is calling for snow and I don't like that word anymore, so a good thunderstorm would be perfect, because we are having a MOVIE DAY!!!

Patience

Patience is not fighting with your almost 2 year old daughter over shoes and a jacket that are way to small for her. Letting her figure it out herself.

Its letting her run around like a wild monkey until she no longer has any energy.

Its letting her sit on your lap for 3 hrs straight because you are the ONLY person she wants.

Its letting her not sit at the dinner table, because she doesn't believe in eating at the time we do. Her thing is running to the table, grabbing a bite, running around and doing it over and over and over again.

Its letting her throw her tantrums for hours and trying not to run out the door and leave the Hubby to handle it all.

Its letting her wear a dress that she picked out even though its 30 degrees outside and she refuses to put on anything else.

Its letting her run around naked (in the house) because she refuses to sit still for 5 seconds while you throw her diaper on.

Its letting her open and close and open and close and open and close the door 50 million times, because she doesn't remember she has 50 million toys in her room.

Its letting her lay in your bed at 2am because she is cutting molars and its the end of the world.

Its letting her have ratted hair, because the minute you brush her hair, she is screaming like someone is about to murder her.

This is girl is something else. I am not sure where she came from or how she got here, but where did my sweet innocent little girl go. If you find her, please return her, because I miss her.

Antelope Island

We love Antelope Island. But only in April and May and then in October. The bugs are too yucky the rest of the time. Today we went out before the storm came in and climb all over rocks and in caves. We had a blast and my boys think it is so much fun. Lexi even did good, this was her first time walking around it, last time we went she was little still. We will be out there pretty much every weekend in April and May. I slipped off a rock though and landed on my butt, it was pretty funny, but I am sore now.

So above is just a few pictures we took, it is beautiful out there.

Exciting news....

First of all I need to talk about how blessed I have felt lately. Two years ago Bob and I gave up everything to save his life. We didn't have much of anything and was barely able to survive payday to payday. You never imagine that your life can be flipped upside down in the blink of an eye, but really it can, you just NEVER know. Today, we are stronger than ever, we aren't perfect, but we find a way to work everything out. We may not drive a fancy car with leather seats, but it drives and gets us where we need to go. We may not have a $400K house, but our home is beautiful and perfect for us. We are able to give our kids what they need and more. My family is healthy and it feels great, almost too good to be true. At times I find myself wondering why things are so calm. I got so use to the chaos. Yes, Lexi has a umilical hernia (sorry Jen, I forgot to answer you on that), but its an easy fix.

So for the exciting part, Bob and I never got to go on a honeymoon, we never have gotten to travel somewhere that we only dream of in pictures or our minds. I have wanted to go far away for awhile and well we are, in less than 300 days Bob and I are packing our suit cases and heading away on this....

to here....Yes, the Eastern Caribbean, St Thomas, St Martens, San Juan and the Bahamas. I am excited, thrilled and counting down the days already.

I feel like we have worked so hard to be where we are today. I honestly feel so blessed, sometimes I wonder if it is a dream. It has been a rough road, but I wouldn't want it to be any other way. We learned a lot and we are so much better off TODAY then we were a year or two years ago.

Springtime

I have loved these last few days. This is perfect weather for me. My boys are sucking it all in. They get home and go outside until dinner and then turn and go out again.

Today I took Lex Easter pics, the boys will be done next week, I still haven't found them the perfect outfit yet. Lex is difficult to take pictures of, she doesn't want to look at me, but I got some cute shots. Next week we will head to Syracuse pond and take pics.

And I also have some exciting news.....
