I love the 4th of July, there is no holiday that is better. I love celebrating our country! I love applauding all our troops here and gone. I find it hard to not think about all the men and women serving our country, the ones who are not here anymore and the ones far away from their families. Its because of them that we are able to celebrate this day with our families.
Our 4th was really low key, I wasn't feeling good at all.
My favorite part is dressing my family in red, white and blue. Sadly I didn't get a picture of all of us.
We did head to Layton for the parade, without the parade it just wouldn't be right. My kids love it also, but not the waiting part.
And the #1 reason my kids like to go is because of the candy, notice Lex with a mouth full of taffy.
The boys stayed in the front and got candy the whole time.
And we stayed back and watched.
After that, we left, I was hot and miserable. The kids were ornery and I just wasn't having it. So we headed home, I took a nap and we RELAXED. Watched some shows, barbecued, watched a really good movie and hit the bed.
I told Bob it really didn't feel like the fourth, but I loved it anyway. I didn't have to fight crowds or traffic. The one thing I missed was watching the fireworks at Layton and people watching (yes, I admitted it!) auntil they start. O'well next year.
Happy 4th EVERYONE!!!

I read on Thiago's facebook that you weren't feeling well. I am sorry friend. Hope you are doing better. Sometimes quiet nights at home are the way to go.
Kids sure do look cute though.
Oh, and I can tell you...you missed out on some real good people watching that night. Layton park brings out the weirdos.
